In what to many is inevitable news, organisers of Beyond The Valley Festival have cancelled their 2020 event.
Although many would have anticipated this news, until now Beyond The Valley was still scheduled to take place over New Years in Lardner parklands of Victoria’s South-East.
“We have been holding off on making this announcement and have been hoping for a better outcome, however due to the current restrictions in Victoria we have had to make this very difficult and heartbreaking decision,” say organisers in a statement.
The festival joins fellow NYE event Falls Festival in its cancellation. Laneway Festival in Auckland also announced it will not be taking place in the summer of 2021, while also suggesting its Australian counterpart may soon follow suit. Both Bluesfest and Splendour in the Grass are currently scheduled to go ahead next year.
Beyond The Valley pre-sale tickets will be valid for the 2021 event. Those who can no longer attend will receive an email with further information on how to claim your refund.
“Put it in your calendars and start counting down the days,” add organisers. “We will see you on 28th December 2021 for a four day celebration like no other.”
