Dave Chappelle’s show, Chappelle’s Show has returned to Netflix with his blessing. It comes three months after the comedian put a call out there saying he wanted them removed.

He wanted the three season show removed from the streaming platform as Comedy Central hadn’t paid him for the show.

So, he called Netflix.

“I called them and I told them that this makes me feel bad,” Chappelle said in a video posted to Instagram.

“And you want to know what they did? They agreed that they would take it off their platform just so I could feel better.”

Now, in a new Instagram video, Chappelle has shared some good news. All three seasons of the show have been returned to Netflix after Comedy Central “made things right”.

In a video titled Redemption, Dave Chappelle said, “A few weeks ago I put a special out called Unforgiven — I told people what my beef was with Comedy Central.”

“I demanded that the network pay me, and many of my peers laughed at me because that’s a ridiculous thing to demand.

“They said, ‘Well you signed the contract so what are you mad about?’

“Here’s the thing, I’m very good at minding my own business, and the trick to minding your own business is knowing what’s your business,” said the comedian.

“I want to thank Ted Sarandos at Netflix, who had the courage to take my show of its platform to financial detriment of his company, just because I asked.

“And I want to thank Chris McCarthy of CBS/Viacom… who has an interest in making the past right.

“And finally after all these years, I can finally say to Comedy Central, it’s been a pleasure doing business with you.”

You can watch the video in full below. It also sees Dave Chappelle touch on the US Capitol riots and catching COVID-19.
