Croatia is a popular destination for many reasons, but perhaps its quirky side is what connects with many visitors. It’s not just about beaches and food; there is plenty of entertainment to be had too!
For teenagers, groups, and those who are young at heart, escape rooms are a great way to spend an hour or so. During the early evening, when you’re trying to burn off your dinner, or perhaps if you are unlucky enough to be caught during a quick turn in the weather and a downpour, an escape room could be your savior.
Of course, Croatia overall has several escape rooms, and most are located in the busiest and most popular tourist resorts.
First things first, however, what on Earth is an escape room exactly?
What Is An Escape Room
An escape room is basically a puzzle, but one which you are in the middle of this. This immersive experience means that you need to work as a team with your group, usually between 2 to 6 or 8 players, to solve puzzles, find clues, and complete tasks successfully. The idea is to, as the name suggests, escape. Solving those puzzles and finding the clues will help you get the hell out of there, but you need to do it in as little time as possible to win.
Why Are Escape Rooms Pretty Cool
The concept sounds random, but once you’ve tried it, you’re sure to be addicted. It’s a rush to work with other people and try and win games and find clues. You suddenly turn into an inspector or private detective, and you can’t think of anything else but the task at hand. It’s a great way to help teenagers and youngsters burn off some energy, but for big kids, it’s a great way to spend an hour or so!
It’s also completely different from anything else you’ll do during your vacation. Let’s be honest, the beach every day can become a little tiresome after a fortnight; you probably don’t think that now, but some people don’t like to spend every day lying prone on a sun lounger! It’s an excellent way to break up your day or your evening, depending on what you have planned.
Who Are Escape Rooms For
Escape rooms are for anyone who wants to try it! There is no upper age limit; however, they’re not the best idea for young children, who may become a little panicked at not being able to get out when they want to. The clues and puzzles are also designed with teenagers upwards in mind, so if you have small children, it’s not the best activity for them.
However, for slightly older children, they’re going to love escape rooms, and it’s an excellent way to get them working in a team and using their methodical thinking to escape.
