It’s a hard slog being an FKA twigs fan. Her first and only full-length album was released almost five years ago, and we’ve only gotten an EP and maybe one or two extra songs since then. But now, it looks like twigs is ready for album number two as rumours circulate about new music coming this week.
According to Stereogum, twigs has reportedly messaged hardcore fans of hers with a note telling her that the time for new music is upon us.
“You are one of my more loyal supporters, so I wanted to write to you directly to let you know — it’s time. FKA twigs,” the message reportedly read.
It was written on the back of artwork that twigs also posted on social media early today.
On top of that, Stereogum also reports that a new track called ‘Cellophane’ has already been licensed on PPL.
It would make total sense that new twigs music is coming, as she’s touring all around the world over the coming months. Most importantly, she’s playing some shows in Australia as part of Vivid LIVE and Dark Mofo.
