Throughout the COVID-19 lockdown, Tyson has been showing off his incredible body transformation and looks in prime condition despite turning 54 years old in June.
Boxing fans have been stunned by the news of his comeback and now they only have a few shorts weeks to wait until he’ll get back in the ring.
Tyson will face off against Jones Jr, a former heavyweight world champion himself.
‘Superman’ was last in action in February 2018 when he beat Scott Sigmon in his hometown of Pensacola, Florida.
The 51-year-old is now set for one of his toughest and most high-profile bouts of his lengthy career when he steps up to face the icon that is Tyson.
Tyson vs Jones Jr: When is it?
Tyson and Jones Jr are set to face off on Thanksgiving Weekend on November 28 at the Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California.
That will mean it’ll be a late night for UK fans as the fight should get under way at around 4am in Britain.
Tyson has never fought in the state of California.
It was initially scheduled to take place on September 12 but in August, it was announced the date had been pushed back in order to maximise revenue amid the ongoing issues surrounding the COVID-19 lockdown.
The event is being officially sanctioned by the California State Athletic Commission.
The undercard will involve several exhibition fights.
Youtuber Jack Paul will take on ex-NBA star Nate Robinson while former two-weight world champion Badou Jack will also be in action.
London’s Viddal Riley, who has played a key role in the string of Youtube boxing fights in recent years, will also be facing UFC fighter Rashad Coulter at the event.
