Who were the star performers in the midweek Premier League action?
Another round of Premier League fixtures have come and gone, with Manchester City and Liverpool remaining unbeaten in the top two places.
City overcame Watford at Vicarage Road on Tuesday, before Liverpool secured a victory at Burnley the following evening.
The midweek was not as great for Chelsea, who were beaten by Wolves, while Manchester United and Arsenal held each other to a draw at Old Trafford.
There were some brilliant individual performances across matchday 15, with Man City claiming their win courtesy of a fine showing from Riyad Mahrez; the hosts, on the other hand, had Ben Foster to thank for keeping the score respectable with the goalkeeper excelling between the posts.
Elsewhere, Harry Kane scored his ninth Premier League goal of the season in Tottenham’s defeat of Southampton, and Virgil van Dijk continued his brilliant form for Liverpool, even chipping in with an assist against Burnley on top of his defensive duties.
