(Eagle News)–A thunderstorm advisory has been hoisted over parts of Apayao, Cagayan and Isabela.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said moderate to occasionally heavy rains with lightning and strong winds due to thunderstorms are expected over Apayao, particularly in Flora and Santa Marcela; in Cagayan, in Amulung and Iguig; and in Isabela, specifically in Divilacan and Maconacon.

PAGASA said these were expected within  30 minutes to an hour.

The weather bureau said the conditions are already being experienced in Apayao, particularly in Kabugao, Luna and Pudtol; in Cagayan, specifically in Enrile, Solana and Tuguegarao; and in Isabela, in Ilagan City, Santo Tonas and Tumauini.

“Residents along mountain slopes are advised (against) possible landslides and flashflood,” PAGASA said.
