Danny Garcia’s father and trainer Angel Garcia tore into a reporter during their virtual press conference with Errol Spence.

The charismatic and sometimes controversial coach is renowned for his outspoken rants and did not disappoint on Tuesday afternoon.

When Spence was asked about the Garcias potentially learning from his fight with Mikey Garcia (no relation) last year, Angel interjected.

He insisted he’d already said they would be learning nothing from watching that bout as Mikey was undersized against Spence.

Angel then went on to repeatedly call the reporter a ‘f***ing idiot’ and a ‘f***ing moron’.

He concluded: “I hate idiot writers, they’re the ones that write all this bullcrap about all these fighters but they never got clipped on the nose.”

Danny is due to challenge welterweight king Spence for his WBC and IBF titles on December 5 in Texas.

The champion unified two belts by beating Shawn Porter in a thriller last September, but just weeks later was involved in a high-speed car crash in his hometown of Dallas.

Spence was fortunate to survive the incident as his Ferrari flipped multiple times, ejecting him because he was not wearing a seatbelt.

This fluke circumstance may well have saved his life and he miraculously escaped with no broken bones.

The facial injuries Spence suffered in the crash have raised questions about his boxing future though.

Many assumed he would take a tune-up bout when he returned to the ring in order to become reaccustomed to taking punches.

However, ‘The Truth’ has refused to do this and is instead jumping straight in with a bona fide challenger in Garica, who has previously held belts in two divisions.
